St. Patrick’s Day Beer Dinner at City Tavern 3.13


Four Courses Paired with Moylan’s Brews

Just days before St. Patrick’s Day, South Loop-located City Tavern will hold a Moylan’s beer dinner. On Wednesday, March 13 at 7 p.m., participating guests will enjoy a welcome reception followed by three course menu, paired with Moylan’s brews. The fee to attend is $45, or $40 if a reservation is placed by March 6 (tax and gratuity excluded). Executive Chef Robert Hoffman’s complete menu is outlined below. Moylan’s beers, out of Novato, California, have won global recognition in the Great American Beer Festival, The California State Fair and the World Beer Cup.

Duck Rillettes Crostini with pickled cauliflower
paired with Moylan’s Tipperary Pale Ale

First Course:

Slow-Cooked Scottish Salmon with smoked sea salt, housemade sauerkraut, Irish soda bread
paired with Moylan’s Danny’s Irish Style Red Ale

Second Course: 

Venison Osso Bucco with pomegranate glaze, green mashed potatoes
paired with Moylan’s Kilt Lifter Scotch Style Ale


Irish Stout Chocolate Cake with Devonshire cream
