January marks the first full month of business for anticipated newcomer, Bow & Stern Oyster Bar. The new dinner and brunch restaurant features an expansive raw bar, where fresh shucked oysters are the star year-round. Helming the kitchen is chef Brian Greene (formerly of The Savoy), who promotes a “fishing and farm-to-table culture.” Greene has imagined an inspired menu ranging from seafood specialties like Cioppino and Grilled Sturgeon, to terrestrial options including Kurabota Pork Chops and Wagyu sirloin . The décor exudes a relaxed “boat-house” ambiance, with blue-grey wood, exposed brick, and a large open air atrium. The bar enhances the dining experience by showcasing Midwestern brewers, a straightforward wine list and seasonal hand-crafted cocktails.
