Meet Jonathan Klein from Lagunitas Brewing Company and enjoy limited, seasonal and year-round beers with food pairings from chef Ruben Beltran’s regular Tex-Mex menu at this special beer night. Added amenities include free Lagunitas merchandise such as engraved Mason jars and logoed gear. The event runs from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 and is free to attend (food and drink on consumption). High Noon is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. on July 31 and the kitchen is open until 1 a.m.

Featured Beers, Tasting Notes and Suggested Food Pairings

Fusion 23, Pale Wheat Ale, 5.6% ABV, $5
This extremely limited beer is from the brewery’s Fusion Series, a series of draft-only, jointly-made communal brewings; this collaboration is attributed to Lagunitas friends from Chicago. Made with Equinox, Mosaics and experimental HBC 291 hops, this silky smooth wheat ale is floral, fruity and highly sessionable.
Pairing: Chicken Tacos
Barbacoa-style braised chicken, sesame, chile de arbol sauce ($3 each)

New Dogtown Pale Ale, American Pale Ale, 6.2% ABV, $6
Year-round ale with a big floral fruity hop nose and a touch of malt sweetness. Citrus, tropical fruit and melon flavors with a touch of pine and lingering bitterness.
Pairing: Chicken Tamale
Braised chicken, guajillo salsa, sour cream, queso fresco ($3 each)

Undercover Investigation Shut-Down, American Strong Ale, 9.7% ABV, $8
Malty, rich seasonal ale with a snappy hop finish.
Pairing: Applewood-Smoked Brisket Tacos
Coffee and ancho chile rub, chipotle BBQ sauce, housemade slaw ($4 each)

A Little Sumpin’ Extra! Pale Ale, Imperial IPA, 8.74% ABV, $8
Seasonal selection that is a big sister to the original Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale. Wheaty with malt complexity; floral, tropical fruit and melon aromas with citrus and tropical fruit flavors and piney hop bitterness.
Pairing: Tacos al Pastor
Marinated pork shoulder, cilantro, morita salsa, pineapple, caramelized onions ($3 each)

NightTime Fear the Dark Ale, American Black Ale, 8.6% ABV, $8
This seasonal ale is packed full of highly roasted malts and bitterly balanced with dank hops.
Pairing: Churros
Pasilla chocolate, dulce de leche ($6)

Lagunitas IPA, American India Pale Ale, 6.2% ABV, $6
Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this year-round ale has toasty and caramel flavors with resiny and citrus-like hop flavors. Big on the aroma with a hoppy-sweet finish.
Pairing: Fish Tacos
Beer-battered tilapia, avocado-serrano mayo, mango, pico de gallo, pickled cabbage ($4 each)
